Security for the Hong Kong-Zhuhai-Macao Bridge Boundary Crossing Office

Focus on Security and Reliability
Safety and reliability are key requirements for a project on a scale as grand as the Hong Kong Zhuhai-Macao bridge (HZMB). For this purpose, Integrated was chosen as the provider of the access control and security system including for the ticket booths, staff office and public area at the HZMB.

With shuttle bus services running as frequent as one every five minutes (up to 90 shifts during peak hours), great emphasis is placed on a security system capable of processing high frequency of data 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.

At the Frontier of Infrastructure and Logistics
A project with a ground breaking investment of USD18.8 billion, the HZMB cemented its status as both the longest sea crossing and the greatest open-sea fixed link on earth. The bridge effectively slashed travel time between Hong Kong and Zhuhai from three hours to just 30 minutes, further integrating cities in the Pearl River Delta.

Designed to withstand earthquakes and typhoons, HZMB was built using 400,000 tonnes of steel, enough to build 60 Eiffel Towers. About 30km of its total length crosses the sea of the Pearl River delta. To allow ships through, a 6.7km section in the middle dips into an undersea tunnel that runs between two artificial islands.

The project is a milestone for both infrastructure engineering and logistics. We are therefore genuinely proud to be chosen as the access control and management security partner for this project. Our goal is to provide a truly easy to use and robust security system to help HZMB boundary crossing office boost its operational efficiency and safety.
